          Dr Emma Riordan

Dr Emma Riordan is Project Lead for HELECs. She is based in UCC where she teaches German language and Applied Linguistics, and is Teaching & Learning Officer for the School of Languages, Literatures and Cultures. Her research interests include classroom language, language policy and language teacher education.

        Dr Clive W. Earls

Dr Clive W. Earls is Assistant Professor in German and Applied Linguistics and Programme Director of Applied Linguistics MA and PHD programmes in the School of Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures at Maynooth University, NUI. He is an expert in language-in-education policy, language pedagogy and intercultural studies on which he was published widely in monograph, journal article and edited book formats.

            Dr Colin J. Flynn

Dr Colin J. Flynn is Assistant Professor in Irish and Applied Linguistics at Dublin City University. He is also Deputy Director of SEALBHÚ (www.dcu.ie/sealbhu), the DCU Research Centre for the Learning and Teaching of Irish, and a member of the DCU Applied Linguistics Research Group.

          Dr Áine Furlong

Dr Áine Furlong’s research interests include the relation of creativity to plurilingualism and pluriculturalism, Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL), as well as language teacher education from primary through to Higher Education. Her current work focuses on learning and teaching online with a focus on educational interfaces.

              Dr Silvia Benini

Dr Silvia Benini works as Research Assistant in the School of Languages, Literatures and Cultures at the University College Cork. Areas of research interest include CALL, Games-Based Learning, Intercultural Communication, Language Policy and Planning.  She has published on ICT and Language Learning. She is a committee member of IRAAL (Irish Association for Applied Linguistics) and member of CALS (Centre for Applied Language Studies, University of Limerick).
